Installation Process For The Nest Learning Thermostat™
To start enjoying your new Nest Learning Thermostat™ we need to arrange for one of our qualified installers to visit you and get your new gadget installed in your home.
Once you’ve joined ENGIE and selected the ENGIE Control tariff, we’ll give you a call to run you through some information before arranging your installation.
We’ll need to check a few details with you, such as whether you have a broadband connection, an internet enabled device and if you have a Combi boiler or a System boiler (with a hot water tank). This is to make sure that the Nest Learning Thermostat™ will work in your home.
Once everything has been checked over the phone, we will pass some of your contact details (like address, email and contact number) to our installation partner, Valley Heating Services.
Our installer will contact you via phone, to arrange a suitable time for installing your Nest Learning Thermostat™.
You’ll receive a reminder before your appointment via text.
You’ll also need to download the Nest app ready for installation. This is a simple app that can be used to control and monitor your Nest Learning Thermostat™.
On the day of your installation, our installer will contact you around 30 minutes before they arrive, so you’re ready for the visit. The installation engineer will bring the Nest Learning Thermostat™ with them, so you don’t have to worry about waiting for a delivery.
The installation process should take around an hour to complete, more complex home set-ups may take a little longer.
Once Nest Learning Thermostat™ is in place, the engineer will help you set up your account and give you a simple tutorial on how to use the device.
